We are looking for a Project Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining excellence in developing, executing and controlling assigned projects to achieve plant goals. Through expert application of engineering techniques and principles, the incumbent will conduct analyses and investigations pertaining to construction of new facilities and enhancements for existing facilities to optimize productive capability of the plant. We encourage the Project Engineer to make sound recommendations, considering such factors as cost, maintainability, facility of production and availability of materials and equipment with emphasis on safety and optimum performance. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Summary
The Corporate Public Affairs Officer position works with the plant manager and leadership team, operations external affairs and corporate social responsibility teams and is responsible for the development, planning, and execution of GAF’s community engagement (CE) strategy, initiatives and programs that advance GAF in the communities and with key stakeholders in our Tuscaloosa plant community while providing support to other plant communities in that region if necessary. This role will lead and manage the strategic implementation of community engagement efforts and initiatives - including stakeholder engagement with business, civil sector and government leaders, education, relationship management, executing corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy and programs. - Entry-level D class welder to start FCAW on carbon steel non-pressure welding only, working his or her way to nozzle and spot radiography pressure-retaining welds.
During the probationary period, the welder shall pass the SHECO welder qualification PL-1 standard (2G carbon steel 7018).
- Once he or she has demonstrated proficiency in FCAW welding carbon steel non-pressure welds,
nozzle welds, and spot radiography pressure-retaining welds, he or she may take the SHECO
PL-3 qualification test (2G 309L SMAW).
- Upon acceptable PL-3 weld test results, he or she may begin SMAW/FCAW welding low-grade

Fabrication and final assembly of custom products (finished goods) within the woodworking industry.
Custom products and specific job duties & responsibilities to include but not limited to:
Finish Carpenter 1
Custom countertops
Custom plastic laminate items
Competent use of production tools & machinery
Requires supervision
Work productivity at average or below average pace
Finish Carpenter 2
Items included in Finish Carpenter 1
Custom desks (reception desks, nurse stations)
Custom benches, banquettes, etc.
Face frames
Other moderately complex custom woodworking products
Work productivity is average
Work quality is average
Finish Carpenter 3
Items included in Finish Carpenter 1 & 2
Advance knowledge of finish carpentry and custom woodwork assembly
Other complex custom woodworking products
High level of competency for custom work
Requires some supervision
Work productivity is above average

Finish Carpenter 4
Items included in Finish Carpenter 1, 2, & 3
Expert knowledge of finish carpentry and custom woodwork assembly

Education
High School diploma, GED, or higher is required
Relevant experience can be considered as an equivalent to a degree
Experience
Three or more years’ experience within the woodworking, manufacturing, or construction industry is preferred
Three or more years’ experience in Finish Carpentry is preferred

Language & Mathematical Skills
Ability to effectively present information, questions, or discrepancies to Team Leader for resolution
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; mentally, hand-and-paper, and calculator.
