HOURS/WORK CONDITIONS:
-Good attendance in accordance with regulations is a must.

Assembly: Assemble luxury and electric vehicles at the assigned workstations on a moving assembly line performing any combination of tasks according to specifications with the use of hand tools, power tools, assist devices, and production fixtures.
Body: Load metal body components into automated welding equipment to form body sub-assemblies.
Paint: Paint processes include a sealer application, sanding, and paint spray equipment to prepare the car for assembly.
Battery: Assembly of new technology, high voltage battery systems.

OVERVIEW:
Responsible for stocking the various stations on the assembly line with the materials and parts necessary to assemble automobile seats, preparing empty pallets and returnable packaging for shipping, and understanding and meeting production needs through frequent communication and time management under minimal supervision.

DUTIES:

What you will be responsible for:

The position is responsible for operating material handling equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking and counting merchandise.
The Team Member will take packaging to production line in accordance with BOM and Work Instructions.
The Forklift Driver is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform other duties in addition to his or her own.
Must be able to follow direction.
Ensure line is stocked without downtime with proper packaging per BOM.
Scanning packaging with parts to proper warehouse for storage.
Make sure packaging is straight and orderly online.
Packaging on walls and empty storage locations are straight and to standard per layout.
Scrap bins are empty during and at end of shift.
Forklifts are free of trash at end of shift.
Must always keep areas neat and orderly.
All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Dispatch clerk meets truck driver evaluates BOL or ASN and distinguishes where the load goes to NAFTA or MBCC dock.
Clerk will enter load data in the SAP system and receive the trailer.
Clerk will run reports and notify Mercedes MRP of any errors.
Clerk will instruct diver where to drop the trailer on the lot or dock.
Once driver has dropped the incoming trailer, he will be instructed whether to pick up and empty or not.
Clerk will record outgoing driver information: Picking up a dunnage trailer, an empty trailer or bob tailing without one.

Available Shifts:
Off days will alternate.
2pm-10pm
6am-6pm

Mission of the Position:

The material packer is responsible for, but not limited to, the quality-oriented, timely, economical and thorough processing of goods to repack from inbound packaging to outbound packaging.

Common Job Functions:

This position reports directly to the Department Supervisor and is responsible for the general and specific job duties of IAC as described below:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Wrap interior automotive parts for IAC plants to enable maximum production volume
• Provide knowledge and training to other wrappers, to allow defect-free, high-quality manufacturing
• Support production requirements, prototype builds, and advanced development projects.
• Assist in finding solutions to quality issues with builds in coordination with other Product Engineering team members.

Education, Skills, and Experience:
• 2+ years of directly related experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills
• Honest with high integrity and positive approach
• Technical aptitude
• Experience using tools of the trade; Heat gun, scissors, utility knife, bone, needle-nose pliers, side cutters, staple gun, etc.
• Experience wrapping corners and other difficult areas of soft interior trim components.
• Functional knowledge of seam alignment
• Knowledge of adhesive, spraying, and bonding.
• Ability to troubleshoot and develop a process for wrapping a part
• Knowledge of different types of cover stock including cloth, leather, PVC, TPU, and other man-made materials
• Ability to be flexible and open minded to develop new processes
• Must be comfortable working side by side with internal and external customers
• Must be prepared to work overtime when necessary, including Saturday and Sunday
• Must be able to follow instructions
• Knowledge of and skill in cutting and sewing processes is a plus

• Regular travel to other IAC plants to support ongoing production may be necessary
• Experience in custom cars and motorcycles, aerospace, marine, and furniture wrapping is a plus

PPE Requirements:
• This position requires the use of eye protection. When handling a cutting utensil, a cut glove and cut sleeve must be worn per safety requirements. Other required PPE is task specific.

Production Operators will perform daily activities with injection molding and lamination equipment as per standardized work instructions; Production Operators will be required to assemble product with a focus on quality and safety; inspect product for defects and take appropriate action; perform measurements, weight checks, etc; accurately pack product as per specifications.

Remove/load parts during various stages of the process; stack product boxes on the appropriate pallet and ensure product is not mixed; complete documents required to report production information, scrap, etc. and highlight any problems to the Shift Leader; work multiple cells, if required; assist Shift Leader in maintaining quality of product; attend training courses to further job knowledge, improve performance/quality; ensure all Health and Safety requirements of the company are met within the department at all times; and keep the work area clean and tidy at all times.

- Manually moves containers of material among proper locations on assembly lines as required.
- Performs cycle count activities when required.

Internal Essential functions of the job and specific requirements
The Tool Technician is responsible for the upkeep and repair of molds / tooling for plastic injection molding presses in the plant.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct mold and tooling preventative maintenance and repair
• Welding tasks (TIG)
• Construct hydraulic lines and rebuild hydraulic cylinders
• General surface grinding, as well as compound angles, cutting tools, nozzle tips, tapers, etc.
• Hot runner wiring
• Open Vent Cleaning
• Ability to fit new detail and spot and or time in..
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and repair, in and out of press.
• Able to operate a Bridgeport / Lathe with in a + or - .001 tolerance.
• Able to operate a Surface grinder with in a + or - .0002 on critical details.
• Able to polish and bench details.
• Ability to weld cores and cavities and hand work back to runnable condition.
• Able to weld different tool steel with positive results, As in P-20, H13, S.7, 4140 etc.
• Able to complete Preventative maintenance on plastic injection molds.
• Assist in maintaining maintenance PM records on the company computer system.
