Mission of the Position:

The material packer is responsible for, but not limited to, the quality-oriented, timely, economical and thorough processing of goods to repack from inbound packaging to outbound packaging.

Job Purpose:
Operate a powered industrial Forklift to transport materials from loading dock to designated warehouse location or/and around the specific locations in the warehouse due to business needs at the MLC2.

Responsibilities:
- Know and follow standard work procedures and safety rules for all tasks assigned.
- Daily inspection and documentation of the Forklift.
- Inspect product for damage, properly scan by machine or manual entry to ensure safe transport and proper placement
- Move controls to drive propane or electric-powered trucks and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
- Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
- Mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, platforms, or other transport vehicles.
Other duties as required.
- Stack materials safely and by Schnellecke standards.

Requirements:
-Must have 1-2 years of Stand-Up Forklift experience (this is not a cherry picker).
- Wear Personal Protection Equipment at all times
- Pass mandatory drug screen
- Operator's license visible at all times
- Complete training and company certification requirements for Forklift operations
- Must be able to pass a background check per Schnellecke Logistics standards.
- Must be able to badge through MBUSI.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on an occasional basis for general purpose of restack to product.

Spanish Translator (ST) works under the direction of the Executive Director
The ST meets with the Executive Director one-on-one monthly to discuss specific goals and objectives, special projects, translator’s specific tasks, progress, and concerns. This work with the various counties shall be closely correlated with Easterseals Alabama personnel.

4. Shall have a good understanding of the policies, philosophies, and programs of the Department of Rehabilitation Services and Children’s Rehabilitation Service and how this work relates to the facility.

5. Shall be in charge of all facility property, including its maintenance and upkeep. Shall be responsible for the purchasing of all supplies and equipment used in the facility program. Shall see that all property is properly used, cared for, and insured. Shall see that all supplies are safeguarded against extravagant use, waste, and theft. These responsibilities may be delegated to other supervisory personnel.

6. Shall be responsible for the compilation of budgets, financial statements, and such other information as requested by Easterseals West Alabama’s Board of Directors or any of its committees.

Included in this overall community relations program will be the dissemination of information to ensure that the client referral sources are currently advised as to the facility program.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Weaving Support Fixer position is responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment used to support a battery of looms designed to weave yarn into cloth. Management may assign additional duties as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Will set up, adjust, and repair looms to weave cloth of specified quality and design using knowledge of loom functions, weaving diagrams and manuals by reading and performing written instructions
Will oil and grease moving parts of friction surfaces of mechanical equipment, according to specified procedures and oral instructions by reading and performing written instructions
Will change setup of looms to weave different patterns or different types of yarn
Will respond to fixer requests and assist other fixers in completing tasks

JOB SUMMARY:  
The S2 Line Tender I duties are to run a yarn coating line consisting of loading and unloading creels, putting up ends, maintaining and the correct sequence for threading of fiberglass through ends, dies, and carrier bars.  This position also requires you to startup yarn on take-up machines, remove packages, perform operational inspections and complete required documentation and paperwork.  Management may assign additional duties.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  
-Will conduct an initial and hourly quality walk through of work area determined by reading and performing written instructions.  
-Will thread fiberglass (Raw Glass) by hand from creel around tension whorl through eyelets until it exits the creel and tie off glass by reading and performing written instructions.  
-Will thread glass ends by hand through vat eyelets in correct sequence through the dies to carrier bar by reading and performing written instructions.  
-Will carry yarn ends by hand to the winder area and wrap glass around winders to be wound on to cores by reading and performing written instructions.  
-Will start packages using start up procedures by reading and performing written instructions.  
-Will perform walk through inspection of line on the hour by reading and performing written instructions.  
-Will maintain creel by loading/unloading and splicing raw glass with splicer as needed by reading and performing written instructions.
